Live classes · small groups · real teachers

A small school that fitsinsideone window.

HomeLearning gives independent teachers everything a school gives them — a timetable, a live classroom, course material, quizzes and a gradebook — without the school. Students get a teacher who knows their name, and an AI tutor that never gets tired of the same question.

Our goal

To give one teacher and a handful of students everything they need to do serious work together — and then get out of the way.

Tutoring today is split across a video app, a messaging app, a shared drive, a spreadsheet of marks and a payment thread. Everyone loses something in the gaps. We put the whole thing in one place so the teacher can spend the hour teaching and the student can spend it learning.

What we believe

Four commitments that decide what we build and what we refuse to build.

🎯

Every child is taught, not processed

Classes are capped at five students so a teacher can actually see each one. No lecture halls, no anonymity.

🤝

Teachers set their own terms

You propose your fee, you set your timetable, and you keep the relationship with the family. We are the classroom, not the middleman.

🪟

Nothing hidden from parents

Attendance, materials, grades and messages all live in one place, visible to the people who care about the outcome.

🌍

A postcode should not cap potential

A good teacher two time zones away beats no good teacher nearby. We make that a normal Tuesday afternoon.

AI that assists, never replaces

The teacher stays in charge. The AI does the tedious part.

We use AI where it saves a human being time or unblocks a stuck student — never to decide a grade on its own, and never to stand in for the person teaching the class.

A teacher preparing a lesson with an AI assistant

For teachers

Less admin, more teaching.

  • Turn a PDF or a photo of a worksheet into ready-to-present slides in seconds
  • Draft a quiz from the material you just taught, then edit anything you disagree with
  • Auto-grade the objective questions so marking stops eating your evenings
  • Spot the student who has quietly stopped answering before it becomes a problem
A student studying with an AI tutor

For students

A patient tutor between classes.

  • Ask the question you were too shy to raise in class, any time of night
  • Get the same idea explained a second way when the first way did not land
  • Practise with hints that nudge rather than hand over the answer
  • See exactly which topics are shaky before the next assessment

Where we draw the line. AI drafts, a teacher approves. Written answers are always read by a person before a grade is final, and a student always knows when they are talking to the tutor rather than their teacher.

How it works

01

Create your profile

Teachers list subjects and rates. Students say what they need help with.

02

Agree the fee

Proposals go both ways. Discuss it, settle it, then start.

03

Meet in class

Live video, shared slides, quizzes and activities in one window.

04

Watch it add up

Attendance, grades and materials build a record of real progress.

Ready when you are.

Teachers, bring your students. Students, bring your questions.
